We’ve been blessed with a beautiful winter in Sydney and yesterday was the first day of spring.
24 degrees C, blue skies, sunshine, barely a breath of wind. The perfect conditions for me to take customers out on a four hour eco tour of Sydney’s Middle Harbour. Awesome. I was out on the water thinking, ‘THIS is what it’s all about’. A few first aid actions required (scrapes and cuts from razor sharp oyster shells – with one of the ‘victims’ being a little girl who was nothing to do with the tour) and a broken rudder on one of the double kayaks, paled into insignificance on such a beautiful morning on the water.
And then today… my day off… and after a quick surf in a mini wave at Bondi, I decided to “brave” the 16.5 degree water in my swimmers, and swam a point to point across the bay and back. Crystal clear waters. Lots of fish. What an amazing place to live. Roll on summer!
